Toronto Zoo introduces new white lions as a permanent addition to our African Savanna. Unique to the Timbavati region of South Africa, these rare and beautiful cats have not been seen in the wild in over 15 years. With lion populations dwindling, they are now classified as a vulnerable species. Come see our new white lions and help the Toronto Zoo bring awareness to the plight of the African lion in the wild.
